About the Magnhild Fundraising Foundation
FOR MENSTRUAL FREEDOM.
PERIOD
The fundraising foundation MAGNHILD was started in June 2024 by Lisa Gårdlund and Per Pettersson.
It is managed by a board with the County Board as supervisory authority.

The fundraising foundation Magnhild's purpose is to work for, educate about and inform about reproductive, sexual and menstrual health for women who live in vulnerable and/or poor conditions both nationally and globally. The founders have extensive experience in distributing menstrual cups in both Nepal and Bangladesh.
A large part of the work involves seeking out women in both rural and urban areas and handing out donated menstrual protection, preferably menstrual cups, in connection with workshops. Sometimes our meetings are booked in advance at, for example, schools, healthcare facilities and factories. We also often gather women at spontaneous meetings during visits to villages or during the journey. It often happens that men and children also join in and listen.
We have extensive experience in handing out menstrual cups, but in the future other types of menstrual protection may also be relevant to hand out, provided that these are medically safe and well adapted to the needs of the receiving women. Educating about the female body through workshops is an important part of the foundation's mission. When women are allowed to manage their periods, their ability to manage everyday life, study, work and to be an active part of society increases.
The fundraising foundation MAGNHILD is completely dependent on donated funds, both money and actual menstrual protection. If you want to be involved and make a difference so that we can once again go to, for example, Nepal and continue the work of providing women with menstrual cups, please contact us according to the instructions on the first page. ALL contributions are welcome and go directly to our work according to the purpose. In this context, our administrative costs are small as we work on a non-profit basis. Our ongoing administrative costs are kept to a minimum. They include costs for an authorized accountant, accounting software, bank fees, website and printed materials such as instruction and information sheets. In total, this will be approx. 1,500 sek/month.
What you donate generates menstrual cups/menstrual protection and body awareness for women who really need it in countries where material poverty is often great and where menstrual shame is often an obstacle to equality.
Thank you for wanting to join and make a difference!
